maupassant will become famous soon enough
I know I want
  1. something that is VERY effective. I don't want to have to worry about if I'm pregnant or not.
  2. most of my fear is psychological so something that reassures that
  3. I only get a month or two with my bf due to having college in two different states 16 hours apart
I narrowed my choices down to
  • birth control pill
  • birth control patch
  • IUD
( no matter what i use my bf will be wearing a condom)

but again the fear of effectiveness gets me

I plan to ask this questions to my doctor but i just want a few options first. any other birth control i should put on my list or remove.

please explain you choice so i can compare them to others thoughts.

What a sensible couple you are. I am sure this subject is well-documented and you have researched it anyway. I am sure that by using 2 of the methods, then the chances of your getting pregnant are pretty well zero. If a condom broke and you were worried, maybe the morning after pill would then give you peace of mind. However, the professionals will no doubt chip in here.
