If you only modified the harness and not the cords themselves, then it will probably break. You need to take into account that the cords are organic compounds that do deteriorate, especially to chemical and UV exposure and that they were made for a baby. You could always replace them with exercise straps and cords but please make sure that you aren't very high off the ground, have a pad under you, and that there is some sort of cover over the beam like a blanket which protects the cords from abrasive wear.

If it does fail, it is likely to fail on one side first, and that will result in your body falling to one side very quickly and possibly slamming head first.

As long as safety precautions are taken, I don't see anything wrong with this.




Anyone else having images of those silk sash swinging acrobats at Cirque Du Soleil having a bit of fun on the job now?
