For me, it's sexier when a guy accepts an adult woman with public hair. I don't want to look like I'm 11 yrs old down there. It's a bit annoying when a guy starts dictating how women need to change how their crotch looks to meet his wishes.
I keep it clean, and that's what I think is most important. I'm not saying I wouldn't trim it. And the funny thing is if he doesn't start out with demands, I'm more willing to try it trimmed or shaved to see how he likes it.
Guys can shave themselves if they want, but I'm happy with it looking the way nature intended. Leaving it alone also saves them hassle. There's nothing worse than ingrown hairs or stubble down there. As long as people practice good hygiene (shower), I'm good with how ever much or little fuzz is down there.
