From your description it sounds like the two of you are communicating responsibly. As you can understand from my other comments, what galls me is when teens, mostly, find it necessary to t/m, primarily, telling all their friends what is going on what is happening, what thought(s) popped into their mind, whatever--racking up several dozen messages each day of mostly mindless chit-chat. Now if these recipients have nothing more to do during the day than anxiously await the next chime of their cellphone, then I ask myself are these the people who will be our leaders of tomorrow, especially as one person related about leaving a classroom to take a message out in the hall.
