Is seat up or seat down really a problem in most homes? If you lower the lid after each visit the seat must be down mustn't it? That's the way I was brought up and that's the way we do it at dlbheim. If you want a urinal in your bathroom you should have one installed.
What irks me is that so many men seem unable to use a urinal properly; this based on the amount of urine on public restroom floors right in front of the urinals.
