If you're in a committed relationship, I think you've got to try to find some middle ground you can both live with. If a relationship lasts for long enough, you can bet it will have its problems with changing needs, sexual and otherwise. People change, and so do their needs. If you're in a committed relationship, work on it. If one partner completely shuts out the other ("I'm happy not having sex...deal with it!"), the other needs to decide if that's a deal breaker for them. But I agree with
4Love: if it comes to that, end the first relationship before you start another.
