"Out of curiosity, what are you researching?"

Mainly just the industry itself - recently, I've become interested in the role it plays in feminism/sexism. There are others, like references in literature. For a while, I was researching the differences between porn stars - like a male who partakes in gay porn makes a significant amount more than straight men.

It's just always a topic I've been interested in, even throughout high school when my class would (audaciously) debate whether porn should be banned altogether. I was raised in a very conservative area.

"There have been cases on TV and on radio psychology shows in which some women have thought that their husbands/boyfriends were addicted. Whether or not they were, or were just not into them and the care and feeding of their relationship is the real question. This obsession might not be too much different from the guy who spends hours playing video games to the exclusion of being involved with his family."

I have seen a documentary on addictions to sex itself - people who would literally have sex with strangers. But I have never seen a documentary on addiction to pornography. I would love to see one. I do see the connection between a guy who spends his time playing video games and one who watches porn.

I'm just curious to see where others "draw the line."

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply
