Within months of my first sex (heterosexual), I fell into a lesbian relationship with my best friend. Since then, I have lived part of my life lesbian; part, straight; and, mostly as an active bi-sexual.

I am constantly amazed by the numbers of women I have encountered, professionally and personally, who have or have had, bi-sexual relationships. One study I read found that up to one-third of all women have had at least one same sex encounter and about a quarter of married women have a girlfriend at some point. In my small village, I know of two married women who have "tea" each week. Another two who live next door to one another have regular sexual contact.

Bi-sexuality, among women, is not unusual and that does not mean you are gay. My primary relationship is with another bi- woman. We have rules to allow each of us penis time as necessary.
