This is a good recommendation; however, a much better and responsible suggestion is the one you will find posted a lot throughout this site:
* If the male partner does not want to be an unwed father and is not prepared to raise and financially care for a child--and to have the future course of his life forever changed, he should wear a condom.
* If the female partner does not want to be an unwed mother and is not prepared to raise and financially care for a child--and, to have the future course of her life forever changed, she should use some form of highly reliable form of birth control.
* For a variety of reasons, a teenage girl is more likely to become pregnant than at any other time in her life, a third or backup method of contraception is also recommended. This is usually a spermicide.
At the very minimum, use a condom and a spermicide. "Do not fool with Mother Nature" or try to out wit her by taking chances.

As for signs of pregnancy, please do a search of the Internet. There are great search engines available; among them are
Google and
Ask. Learn to use them. Just type in "signs of pregnancy" and read several of the articles that pop up.
The same goes for learning about the
age of consent.
** Consider that the two of you are playing a game of Russian Roulette only instead of having a six-shooter with one "bullet" in the cylinder, you have a fully loaded cannon in your hand. A penis need not be inside a vagina for a woman to become pregnant! Any time it is uncovered and pointed in the general direction of her vulva, there is going to be a chance. Why? Because when semen or precum comes in contact with her vaginal mucus and/or dribbles into the vaginal opening, there is every likelihood that sperm will swim inside and continue on swimming until one or more reach an egg. From this point, it only takes one lucky swimmer to penetrate one egg.
Here is a quote from Brandye, our resident M.D. when a home pregnancy test is indicated: "At this point, purchase two home pregnancy kits (of different brands) and test at least twelve hours apart. That should give her a clear answer."
I hope this is of help. Got questions?
