Unfortunately Doc - the new Wahl (and new Acuvibe) have stupid programmed failure in them because someone in the business department probably says that a few months - couple years depending on use is good enough then they should buy a new one. I have a couple of the old ones, and a couple of the new ones - and the new ones have a cheap part in a very, very important place that any respectable engineer knows will fail. It'd only cost about 50 cents more to fix it, too.
Like Brandye said, many department stores have them now, though lots of those are knockoffs and even poorer quality. Most major pharmacies in the U.S. now have a 'sexual health' section online. Newegg is actually the largest DIY computer supplier who has spread out into electronics and happens to have the Hitachi at a very good price. As far as I know, they haven't changed the design of the Hitachi recently so it should last awhile.
