[Yariome]

This isn't for me, nor is it is COMPETELY under long term but I didn't know where else to post it.

My real good friend is having a hell of a problem and I wanted to see if anyone here had any idea of legal rights ect. Situation is, him and his girl split up today, they have a 8 month year old girl, and she is threatening to take the baby. He is scared shitless of course; She has been very lazy here recently, and hasn't been taking care of the baby very much, she is only 17 yes babies raising babies, the fact remains she has many a time gone out and stayed the night at friends house the past couple months and left the baby behind with her dad but when he wants to go out, she refuses to watch the baby. Whenever she gets home from school she makes the baby a bottle and ignores her the rest of the night on the computer making him do everything. Fine whatever, she is a bad mother imo for that, but to each their own. He has a full time job, an apartment, and has proven to be a good father. She is no addict or anything like that, but she has no home except with her mother, ect ect. Does he have much chance of getting custody? I'm merely afraid that he won't with her being a newborn, but he has everything. By the way we live in Missouri if there is any state law website or anything anyone knows of.
