There's plenty of posts here on anal stimulation, and lots of ways to do it. But to the novice goes the advice "Safety first" -
Never use anything that isn't rounded or blunt. This includes your fingers if you have long fingernails.
Make sure if you're using an object it can't get lost up there. Flared base is essential. You'd be surprised how things can get "sucked up" if you don't have a hold!
Anything not sterile either use rubber gloves or condoms.
And never "force". Slow and sure. If it's hurting STOP.
