Premature ejaculation is usually defined by therapists as a condition in which the man reaches orgasm, ejaculates and looses his erection before the woman reaches coital orgasm in more than 50% of the man's sexual encounters. Masturbation is often used as part of PE therapy. Masturbating and trying to reach orgasm quickly before being caught wanking as a teen is often considered a factor in adult PE. Much of ejaculatory control. or lack thereof, is psychological so I suppose you could say PE is caused by not masturbating enough or too much or has nothing to do with masturbation whatsoever.
