What brand and type of hand soap are you using? Women typically have more sensitive noses, yet I find it hard to believe that unless your hands are in close proximity to your roommate's nose she would detect anything on your hands.
More important me thinks is the scent in the air caused by your activities. For this you might try Fabreeze or Lysol.
We use a variety of flavors of liquid "Softsoap" and it works OK for both of us. Dunno what to suggest beyond this.
