Before I was on birth control, the thought of sex while on my period seemed absolutely horrible because I was so heavy and crampy. However, since being on birth control, I have a lighter, shorter period and do not suffer the same discomfort so sex is fine. It all depends on how my partner feels about doing it while I'm on. My current partner doesn't seem to mind. I am comfortable and enjoy it as long as he does. But I do tend to get really dry on the last day or two of my period for whatever reason, so then it can sometimes be uncomfortable without the use of lube.

I don't ask him to perform oral though, but do allow him to finger me and everything else. We put a towel down to take care of any mess.
