What happen is you body is accustomed to the artificial hormones which you take daily with the active pills; this creates a cycle & prevents the ovulation. When you stop & take the placebos, it causes your body to withdraw from these hormones & induces a period. When it happens; it somewhere within the last 7 days of the pack--it is not always immediate it may take a few days & have seen some take longer. However, if you took the entire pack & no other meds/supplements which interfere with the efficacy of the pill you are covered for the month [minus the normal failure rate].
