those most likely aren't real statistics they put that up so they can't be sued, because if they had 100% effective and a girl came in and said she was pregnant on the pill they would be sued, and any scientific attempts to find a real percentage would give a lower percentage and they would sell less pills than another company that was just lazy and put the old fashion %99.9
just think of the toothpaste commercials, its always 9/10 dentists
