I think that your first sentence above is an indication of "true love." A love
that is selfless and void of selfishness. In that I mean, someone loved you
so much that your well being took significance over her own situation. If
people in general would love one another with 1/10th of that intensity then
the world would be a much better place. It seems to be such a rare occurence
in the "me first" society that seems to dominant these days. I would count myself
extremely fortunate to have loved and been loved in that way at least once in your
lifetime. Love like that can never really fade.
