I have to say, I think porn films are largely to blame for this one. Because the 'money shot' is hidden away in most positions they inevitable end with a facial instead. I recognise the attraction, but it's certainly not a very intimate way to climax with your partner, and can be a little objectifying.
Nonetheless, it is a turn on, but the times it has worked for me is in the shower with my wife, where we are playing around and it really doesn't matter if it goes on her face or hair. So girls, if you love the idea, go for it, but guys, I'd say keep it to a minimum, girlfriends aren't pornstars.
