Ducy, to be honest, you do not know what you are talking about and should not give uninformed opinion to a serious question.
Some few women do not adjust to the ring. Please see your doctor with the ring in place so that she can estimate whether or not it will be acceptable for you. I have never encountered this with a patient but it is mentioned in the literature.
As long as you are getting the hormones, it is effective. Some women do expel the ring and cannot use it. You sound like you are on the verge of this.
The three hours is not a requirement. It merely gives an indicator about how rapidly the level of hormone in your bloodstream drops off below an effective level. No need to ever remove it unless you have a prescribed douche.
