Tantrism is a life philosophy not unlike a religion. Too many people hear about Tantric Sex and think that is it. I am not a practicioner but have done some study. My recommendation would be that you get a good primer on Tantrism and read it as a bit more than a checklist or 12-steps or whatever. Separating the sex aspects from the total philosophy is a disservice to you and to a lovely approach to life.
Any good bookstore with good metaphysics or philosophy holdings will be able to recommend reading for you. Often these would be "alternative" bookstores.
The Tantras and the Sutras are really quite different.
