Yes, I agree with Cycle---good for them. I was paired with an
older gentleman awhile back during an outing. I had never met
this person before and obviously knew nothing about him. He
was very engaging we seemed to get very well during the afternoon.
He began to tell me about his life and seemed to be very reflective in
his thought process. What really captivated me was his adoring tone
when discussing his wife. He spoke in the past tense and with such
conviction and affection. I did not want to pry but simply wanted to
listen. There is a great deal that can be learned from older people
if you simply TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN. Again, off topic but the thread
sparked my memory.
