It could be due to hormone irregularities. If she is taking the pills & has been AND you have a condom no need for concern. There are times when breakthrough bleeding does randomly occur even if she has been on the pill for some time. If it re-occurs again next month she needs to see her doc to be certain all is well. Preg. risk is near nill. Also, if she took any additional medications for some reason, such as antibiotics, she nneds to check with the doc.
