Something just doesn't seem right with this thread.
First, why wouldn't you reach down and figure out what went where? Seems to me to be your first move. That said, I agree that if you have not done this, then you should.
Second, anal entry is generally much more problematical (read: difficult) than the relative ease of entering a vagina. That's should be your second clue.
Third, next time you have sex, why not take his penis and guide him in. Have you ever done this? If not, now's the time.
