Oh, Yes--then there is the stun-gun. This is fine if you have come into contact with the bad guy, otherwise, see, above.
I got a Derringer D-22. 2 shot .22. I wouldn't use it as a defense weapon, besides the fact that it's only a .22. The trigger is super difficult to pull, it is not as accurate, plus, the way the Derringer is made it's easy to shoot your hand when loading. However, a small frame Taurus in .357 is great.
