Thumbs up

Shaving more frequently and consistently the same way each time has helped me in decreasing the ingrown hairs and the little pimples. Reading quite a bit about it on the internet, I discovered the best remedy is to always use a new razor each time, and always go with the grain of the hair. Do not shave against the grain if you are experiencing irritation afterward.

The other relief I have found is.... I do not towel dry roughly... pat dry.... then soon after I reach for a soothing aloe vera gel I bought for my sunburns in the summer. The gel label says: moisturizing, cooling, relief for sunburned, dry irritated skin. Contains no alcohol. I find that my irritations have been reduced immensely. I bought this bottle from walmart. But I am sure that other gels or creams would be helpful as well. So far I have discovered this works great, and until I cannot find it in the stores anymore, I will continue using it before finding something else that will work as effectively.

I like the aloe vera gel since once it is absorbed into my skin, it is not oily feeling and my skin feels dry and smooth.
