Even though she says you will be immediately covered, I recommend using condoms for at least a week. Especially with the mess made of your system. I tell my patients to use alternate methods for one full menstrual cycle no matter what the brochure says - old-fashioned, I guess.
The wait until 7 am will be ok if you use alternate protection for a week or more. The only known interactions of echinacea is with some antifungal medications usually taken for skin blotches. Should not affect birth control.
