fallingsakura is on a distinguished road
Hi, I am 20 years old and have just started taking birth control around 2 and a half months ago. My periods have always been fairly regularly until I started the birth control. At first I didn't give it much notice but now I would have my period at least twice a month or more. I called my doctor and will be seeing him next week to talk to him about it.

After reading this thread, I think it might be the way I'm taking it. I usually take it before I go to sleep because the mood swings really affect me during the day if I take it. But the thing is, I go to bed at different times everyday. Also on the days I forgot, I would take it when I remember and wait 12 hours until I take the correct day's pill. Should I just skip the day I forgot to take? I only usually forget about once or twice a month.

edit

At first I thought my irregularity in my period came from the fact that I was taking a generic brand of pills. But when I talked the pharmacists about it he told me that the pills are the same no matter which company manufactured it. He also told me to talk to my doctor because I might need a weaker concentration?

Any thoughts or opinions? Its been driving me crazy. I like having my period once a month. I have a whole week off next week so hopefully my doctor will know what's wrong.
