Semen is an astringent (which means that it can shrink the skin it comes in contact with).... you may have heard the "Cleopatra rumor"...lol. Anyway, I'd say yes, this could be the reason why she feels uncomfortable a short while after sex. Why not try a quick warm water wash right after the next time and see if that helps?
