I tend to think that if an issue exists, it's more that you
keep your eyes closed instead of open. Sex to me if a connection of bodies and souls. The eyes are the window to the soul so if your eyes are closed...so is the window.
Also, from another standpoint, it's really hot watching your
partners eyes start to change as love making progresses.
It is a natual instinct for me to close my eyes during my orgasm. At my husbands request, I try to keep them open
