Okay, these are my favorite poems and passages. *I didn't write any. *I used to write when I was younger, but kinda just lost faith in my ability, you know? *
Some are just writings that I loved or felt like they meant something, if that makes sense?
For those who despair that their lives are without meaning and without
purpose, for those who dwell in a loneliness so terrible that it has
withered their hearts, for those who hate because they have no
recognition of the destiny they share with all humanity, for those who
would squander their lives in self-pity and in self-destruction
because they have lost the saving wisdom with which they were born, for
all these and many more, hope waits in the dreams of a dog, where the
sacred nature of life may be clearly experienced without the all but
blinding filter of human need, desire, greed, envy and endless fear. *
~Dean Koontz One Doorway away from Heaven
I was a very narrow creature at my heart until you came
None got in and out of me with ease,
Yet when you spoke my name, I was unbounded like the world
I never felt such fear, as then, being so limitless.
When I had known only walls and whisperings I fled you foolishly
Looked in every quarter for a place to hide
Went into a bud, it blossomed
Went into a cloud, it rained.
Went into a man, who died, and bore me out again into your arms. *
`Clive Barker in Galilee.
Unexpected Snow: *One moment the sky looks clear, and the next
moment, the sky is falling. *You can run inside and hide, or you can
become part of it and let it change you.
It’s just that...well, after a while you spend enough nights alone and you
go to too many other people’s weddings and baby showers. *You spend
too many holidays at other people’s houses, and you just want a little
piece of their happiness for yourself, you know. *Just for a while. *Just so
you can say someday that somebody wanted you, that somebody
thought you were worth it.
-Don't remember where I cam across that one..
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.
