that makes me sick...i havent been living for that long and i have experienced more hardships than a lot of adults i know....and guess wut? IM A LIBERAL WOOHOO! a liberal seems more of a person who believes in equal rights for EVERYONE and has the balls to stand up for wut they believe in...instead of (quote:tessie) smiling and nodding.
The responses to my statement indicate that the point was missed; I guess that should not be a surprise.

Engaging in pointless arguments does not qualify as "standing up" for what I believe in... and most of the arguments presented on this thread are pointless... as I've attempted to point out previously there has been some rather flawed logic applied and some very creative "facts" presented. There is also a tendency to ignore facts that won't support the desired conclusion.

The fundamental flaw in this particular post is that equal rights for everyone is a possibility. Can't happen unless everybody wants the same thing. It's great rhetoric and sounds lofty but you'll never be able legislate equality. The point of the quote is in a large part that most people only favor equal rights until their own rights are threatened.

Unemotional responses are welcome, but not really expected.
