If my voted mattered (I'll explain why it doesn't in a minute), I would be voting for Kerry.

Now, I know some of you will bitch about this but hey, it's my choice and I don't want to hear the whining about how I need to vote, so just stop your speech right now. *I have voted before but If I did in fact vote in this election (which I will most likely not be doing) my vote for Kerry would not matter in my state. *I live in Texas.
For those of you who don't know what that means, it means that Bush will win the electoral college vote for my state. *No matter what the people say, they will cast their vote for Bush no matter what. This is Bush's state. His parents live here. He lives here. His people live here. He was the "governor" here. He wins, Kerry loses. The end.
If Kerry does in fact win this election, 4 years from now you will see me at the voting poll, more than likely voting for him. *But this time around? *No. *My meaningless vote in this state is not worth the gas money.
And don't tell me about how I could vote on the other issues in my city. *I do not live in a city limits. *I live on the outskirts of it...which means, I can only vote on state issues or county issues....which there happen to be very very few of and most of them, is one sided anyways. *Trust me. *I've had the same sheriff in my area (and he's good, don't get me wrong) for god knows how many years because he is the only one that runs.
