Orgasms are usually pretty short, and not all of them are intense earth-moving ones. And there are some women to whom it does not feel good if their clit is touched after orgasm. I'm on of them actually, and to me, I don't like being touched there for the next few minutes at least. It might take time for you to build up. Try asking your guy to go slower for you.
