The Escape is a thick foam mat that easily has room for two; you’ll be able to use massage oils, lubricants and food with confidence because you can toss the cover in the wash when you’re done. Description/Materials

The Escape sex pad is a made of sturdy foam that makes it comfortable to roll around on while on the floor, or outside; it also provides a more solid base when you want to use it on a soft bed. Using the Escape is a great way to protect your sheets or your rug/carpet when you want to get a little wet. The Escape is encased in moisture proof Microfiber, which is easily removable and machine washable. The zippers are well constructed so that it withstands putting the cover on and taking it off many times over. There is also a polyester layer underneath the microfiber, which provides extra protection for the foam and is also really convenient to remove. The Escape comes in seven colors: leopard, white tiger, blue, black, purple, red and tan. You have two sizes to choose from: Regular (at 50x72 inches) and King (at 76x72 inches).

How It Works

The Escape adds spontaneity to your play because you can reap the benefits of hard surfaces without the aches, pains or rug burns. You can cover a lot of square footage all over the house, which is great when you want to mix it up in your routine; go ahead and christen every square inch if you want. It’s also really great to use on your balcony. The Escape is hard-wearing enough to use outside, so you can enjoy the great outdoors that much more. It works in conjunction with the other Liberator shapes because it provides a non-slip surface for your other pieces to rest on. It really does make a difference to use this as a foundation, especially when you’re being vigorous.

I’d also recommend throwing it on your bed so you have a firmer surface to make love on. Honestly, girl-on-top can’t get any better with an Escape. A soft bed absorbs too much energy because you’re trying to keep your balance and avoid sinking in positions such as Cowgirl or Asian Cowgirl, thus cutting down on the length of time she’s riding on top. The Escape pad provides her with a stable surface that’s easier to manoeuvre on and provides more leverage for the more challenging positions.

Critique

When I first got my Escape in the mail, I wasn’t entirely convinced that this item would make that much of a difference to my sex life. However, I found that it definitely makes floor and ground sex much more enjoyable; you’ll be able to enjoy extended thrilling encounters by taking your sexual play just about anywhere! You’ll reap the benefits from the rigidity of the ground without suffering from rug burn or joint and muscle strain, yet the surface is soft enough to enable you to enjoy some throw-down.

I did notice a couple of downsides: you can’t yet buy a replacement cover from the Liberator website, nor are there any conversion kits available for this item. (The conversion kits offer covers for Liberator shapes that incorporate restraints for hands and feet). The upside is that the material is durable and machine washable. Another disadvantage to the product is that it takes up a lot of room! When it’s folded up, it’s too big to store under your bed. On the other hand, it’s easy enough to store under your bed when it’s unfolded.

In hindsight, I wish I’d ordered the Escape in a racier color like black or even leopard because it makes it look so exciting! Initially I ordered it to coordinate with the colors of the other Liberator shapes that I have. However, I ended up using the Escape almost exclusively on its own when outside because it takes quite an effort to lug all of the shapes outside, particularly when you want to remain inconspicuous. All in all, the option always exists to bring along a Fascinator Throw (a soft, moisture proof throw); it’ll add an exotic dimension to your play.

An observation is that you need to buy the polyester travel case, which includes a handle: you’ll need it! The additional cost is marginal and you’ll be thankful you did it when you want to take it out with you for a jaunt.

Final Thoughts

I rate Liberator’s Escape a 7/10. I give it top marks for making sex on the floor really comfortable and it gets bonus points for complementing well with the other shapes. Even so, I don’t dig how much room it takes up. Lastly, if you want a really wet experience, opt for the Escape Wet instead. Made of vinyl, you can drench yourself with tasty treats and delectable drinks; you can also opt for oils or slippery lubes to slide around on it.
