Sadly, it is not that simple in many cases. You are partially correct, though. Every guy is going to be different in what he likes, doesn't like, etc., so it'll take some practice to get the specific down with any individual guy. That's funny, Nutty! And you're sure he doesn't add a lot of sugar? ;) My guy usually has some bitter taste to it. It doesn't really bother me. Just recently he tasted sooooo unexpectedly good and sweet, as I've written in the mentioned thread. Can hardly explain why though.
Anyways, main point was about the (de)hydrating factor of coffee and black tea :)
