A. Premature ejaculation is one of the more common sexual dysfunctions a man can have. The good news is that it is a dilemma that can be overcome. Symptoms of the dysfunction are ejaculation before your partner is satisfied on a regular basis. It is a very subjective dysfunction, some define it to be ejaculating virtually immediately, and others define it to be under 5-10 minutes. The general rule-of-thumb definition is if you continuously ejaculate before you want, i.e. you wish you could last longer.
The good news is that the problem is often psychological and temporary, and can usually be overcome with a little patience and understanding for you and your partner. Has anything changed recently that might be at the root of the problem? For instance, do you feel under pressure to perform fast due to time or location restraints? Are you trying new positions where you have less control on the amount of stimulation you are receiving (e.g. woman-on-top). If so, go back to the circumstances under which you were performing well to determine if that is indeed the cause.

i am 19 years old and have been with the same girl for about a year. i still have problems with premature ejaculation. I have tried thinking about other things, tried the squeeze method, tried starting and stopping to train myself to last longer. nothing has worked. I also tried kegel exercises for a while to strengthen my PC muscle till I read that can actually be harmful for guys. I wasn't sure if that was true or not but stopped just in case. now she says it isn't a problem but it really is a shot to my self confidence. is there anything i can do to fix it? i want to be able to last and control when i orgasm
